Because the MVC is living in 1995?
I understand the reasoning behind trying to add color to otherwise-bureaucratic Web sites, but the New Jersey MVC (its version of the DMV, for you California people) crosses the line into circa-1995-AOL-member-pages with its registration renewal. While you're waiting for your online renewal to process, you see this:
