When unemployed, it's best to spend as little money as possible, since you don't have any coming in. To conserve your most limited resource. It's just smart.
That is why I locked myself out of the house today and had to call a locksmith to pick the lock for $75.

every morning i run out of the house i could swear i'm forgetting something. (though, luckily my house keys are on the same key chain as my car keys, so i couldn't get far without them :)
